Transcription
Transcription is the conversion of speech (from an audio or video source file) into an electronic text document.
Whether you need help with reports, speeches, interviews, focus groups, seminars, lectures, manuscripts, minutes, web broadcasts, radio and television broadcasts, or any other type of video, we produce high-quality written documents based on your audio/video files.
We produce transcriptions in all 24 official EU languages and in many other languages. The transcriptions are carried out by native-speaker linguists and they are double-checked by a second native-speaker linguist.
We are able to handle different types of audio and video files. We also add time codes to the transcribed text on request so our partners can easily identify the written text and compare it to the original video or audio.
Transcription costs depend on the language of the audio/video file, its length and its sound quality.
Subtitling
Make your video understandable and enjoyable by more people. We translate the video’s voice-over and prepare the subtitles.
When translating video and audio files, we follow these steps:
- Transcribing the voice-over and the titles in the video (including time codes)
- The client approves the transcription
- Translating the voice-over and the titles
- The client approves the translation
- Preparing the video subtitles in the format requested by our customer (e.g. mv4)
The proofreading service is usually requested when both the source document and the translation (produced by a different translation partner from Eurideas) are available, and our partner would like to eliminate errors in the translation, improve its style, consistency or readability, or wants to make sure that the formatting and layout of the translation match those of the source document.
We provide proofreading services through our professional translators. The task is usually carried out in MS Word or PDF format, and we deliver the proofread file with our comments inserted.
Our offer for proofreading services is calculated per number of words in the source document or on an hourly basis.
