1. When do we collect personal data?
We collect personal information directly from you, from your organisation and from public resources (e.g. public databases and websites) in the following cases:
When you or your organisation request our translation services;
When you submit an enquiry or quote request;
When you provide information at an event;
When you apply for a job or freelance role;
When you provide or offer services to us;
When we identify you as a potential service provider or client via public sources.
2. Legal basis for processing
We process your data based on:
- Contractual necessity (e.g. to provide our services or respond to enquiries);
- Our legitimate interests, provided they do not override your fundamental rights.
3. What data do we collect and why?
We may collect the following types of personal data:
- Contact details: name, job title, work address and e-mail;
- Financial data: bank details and company registration data;
- Marketing data: business sector and service preferences;
- Recruitment data: CVs, diplomas, certificates (where relevant)
We do not collect sensitive personal data (e.g. health information).
If you provide data about another individual, please ensure you have the right to share these data with us.
We use your data to:
- Enter into and perform contracts (as a client, partner or employee);
- Provide translation and related services;
- Manage invoicing and communications;
- Improve our services and communications (e.g. feedback requests);
- Send you relevant updates or marketing offers (you may opt out at any time);
- Evaluate applicants or service providers.
We retain your personal data for up to six years after the end of our contractual relationship, in line with applicable laws and regulations.
Where your personal data are processed for the purposes of direct marketing, you have the right to object to such processing, at any time and free of charge, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
We do not use automated processing, decision making or profiling.
To protect your personal information, Eurideas employs appropriate technical and organisational measures to avoid unauthorised access to or disclosure of your personal information. Except for our employees performing contractual obligations for you, your personal information will only be shared on a strict need-to-know basis with our clients/subcontractors (e.g. the names and contact data of interpreters with clients and the names and contact data of client contacts with interpreters).
We do not disclose your personal information to other third parties, except where required by applicable laws or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
4. Data sharing and protection
For information on the processing of personal information, the controller is Eurideas Kft., 1027 Budapest, Horvát u. 14-24., Hungary. For any enquiries regarding the processing of personal data, data subjects are encouraged to write to: translation@eurideastranslation.com.
We only share personal data:
- With our internal teams or partners, on a need-to-know basis (e.g. interpreter names shared with clients);
- When required by law or to defend legal claims.
We never sell your data.
Your data are processed within the EU, in our offices located in Hungary, Belgium and Germany.
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access or disclosure.
5. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

You may request access to your data and how we use them:
– the purposes of the processing;
– the categories of personal data concerned;
– the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored or the criteria used to determine that period;
– the existence of your right to request rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing or to object to such processing;
– the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority;
– where the personal data were not collected directly from you, available information as to their source.
You are entitled to obtain, upon request, one copy of your personal data undergoing processing free of charge, unless this would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others. If you make this request by electronic means, unless you specify otherwise, the information shall be provided in a commonly used electronic format.

You may request that the use of your data be restricted under certain conditions:
– the accuracy of the personal data is contested by you (for a period enabling us to verify the accuracy of the personal data);
– the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the personal data and request restriction of their use instead;
– we no longer need the personal data for the purposes of the processing, but they are required by you for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Where processing has been restricted per the above, such personal data shall, with the exception of storage, only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
If you have obtained restriction of processing pursuant to the above, we will notify you before the restriction is lifted.
5e.) Right to data portability
If your personal data are processed based on your consent or for the performance of a contract with you, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you – that you have provided to us – in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You also have the right to transmit those data to another controller, without hindrance from us.
