The Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) requires that you translate Summaries of Product Characteristics (SPC) into all official EU languages, as well as into Norwegian and Icelandic. This means not only a complex work of translation, following the ECHA guidance and relevant legislation, but also a real time constraint.
Our team of chemical translators has already translated more than 3 million words in this field. Our translations are always double-checked by a proofreader, who is also a native speaker of the target language. The proofread translation is checked by our in-house quality assurance team, making sure that the translation is in line with the ECHA requirements.
To further help our clients meet their obligations as regards the authorisation process, we can work with the files exported from the ECHA’s IUCLID. Our clients will receive the translations back in the same format, so they only need to import these into IUCLID and open them there. They do not need to copy-paste each entry manually, saving them considerable time and money. Chemical documents, and SPCs in particular, are usually quite repetitive.
We are aware of the strict requirements of the European Commission concerning biocidal product authorisation. In order to support our clients in following the tight schedule of the authorisation process: we either translate the draft SPC and update it later, or in case of shorter SPCs, we are able to directly translate the approved SPC during the short time available for this job.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need further information.
